has gloss | eng: Xiasi Dog (or Xiasi Quan) originates from Guizhou Province in China. Some locals (Miao ethnic group) also call it Bai Long Quan. However, since the breed is mainly raised in Xiasi town of Majiang city, the official name for this breed is Xiasi Quan. Xiasi dogs have distinctive characteristics, and traits which are perfect for hunting. Their lean muscular body, padded paws, and powerful legs are unbelievable assets when following any fast and agile prey. The keen sense of smell combined with the incredible speed and stamina make Xiasi Quan a world renowned hunting dog. Even though it has no mercy to its prey or enemy, Xiasi is very loyal and affectionate to its owner. The adult dog weighs from 22 to 66 pounds and the height ranges from 17 to 20 inches. The length to height ratio is 1:1. It has short white furs, large face with pointed ears, small eyes and wide mouth. The skin appears to be red around its nose, mouth and ear. Xiasi has an adaptive nature and easy to raise. Recently, it has also been ranked the number three world renowned dog. |
