With a francophone population of nearly 10 000, there are several French and English words that are used interchangeably. Northern Ontario Francophones often refer to camion the French word for truck as truck even though they may be speaking in French. Ex: "Jai achete un nouveau truck" would be an acceptable way to tell someone you bought a new truck.
