has glosseng: The Kabyle Miquelet was a type of musket widely used in North Africa, produced by many native tribes and nations. The type of musket that describes it is a musket that has a miquelet lock on it. The caliber of musket ball it fires is a large .67 musket ball. These guns were very very long, around 6 feet. The barrel alone is 44 to 52 inches in length depending on the Craftsman who made its height. These weapons have all metal work usually engraved and locks are usually covered in sheet silver. Woodwork is typically is enhanced by engraved silver shapes inlaid with coral. Even the exposed parts of the wooden ramrod is encased with silver.
