has gloss	eng: John and Mary is a U.S. folk music act featuring Mary Ramsey and John Lombardo, formed after Lombardo left 10,000 Maniacs in 1986 due to "creative and political" disagreements with the band. The pair were the opening act for the Maniacs on the Hope Chest Tour in 1990. They released the albums Victory Gardens in 1991, and The Weedkillers Daughter in 1993. Both joined (or re-joined) the Maniacs as full-time members in 1994, after Natalie Merchants departure. They released The Pinwheel Galaxy in September 2002.
