has glosseng: Dolakha Newar (called Dolakhae by its native speakers) is a language in the Sino-Tibetan family of languages. As of 1988, 5,645 Newa people spoke this language in the Dolakha District outside of Kathmandu Valley in Nepal, South Asia. This language is a dialect of the Newar language, which has many different dialects, including those of the eastern, central, and western communities in and around Kathmandu Valley, such as Chainpur Newar, Tansen Newar, and Bandipur Newar. Other names for the Newar language are Newari, Nepal Bhasa, Newa Bhae, and Dolakhali. Nepal Bhasa is the national language of Nepal. Each dialect is concentrated in the community it is spoken in and does not spread easily across Nepal. Some speakers of Dolakha Newar can be found in the cities of Nepal due to young people moving from their communites in order to pursue educations and careers.
