Han som föddes att möta mörkret är Pavers första bokserie för barn. Boken utspelar sig för 6000 år sedan och handlar om en pojke som heter Torak som kämpar mot ondskan som dödade hans far. Torak lämnas ensam i Storskogen efter att hans far dött. Torak hittar snart en ensam vargunge, Ulv (Wolf i den engelska versionen), och upptäcker att han kan kommunicera med vargungen. Efter ett tag blir Torak vän med en flicka, Renn, från Korpklanen och hon bestämmer sig för att följa med dem. Resten av böckerna handlar om Toraks kamp mot de onda Själslukarna (Soul Eaters), en grupp bestående av schamaner från flera klaner som vill få kontroll över Storskogen. |
