| has gloss | eng: Baby talk, also referred to as caretaker speech, infant-directed talk (IDT) or child-directed speech (CDS) and informally as "motherese", "parentese", or "mommy talk"), is a nonstandard form of speech used by adults in talking to toddlers and infants.
