Der passionierte Pilot tut alles, um sein Flugzeug zu behalten und muss sich aufgrund einer Schmuggelaffäre absetzen. Darauf hin fliegt er mit seiner DC 3 ohne zwischenzutanken von den Antillen in die Niederlande nach Ameland. In der 24 Minuten langen Sequenz des Transatlantikfluges wird gezeigt, wie er das Flugzeug von innen aus mitgenommenen Treibstofffässern betankt. Nach einem kurzen Aufenthalt in seiner Heimat macht er sich zusammen mit seiner Dakota auf den Weg nach Marokko.
