has gloss | eng: World Archaeology is a peer reviewed academic journal in the field of archaeology. The journal examines current issues in archaeology and anthropology from all around the globe, and also publishes research findings and archaeological survey results across a broad spectrum of historical and archaeological time periods. World Archaeology was established by London-based academic publishing firm Routledge & Kegan Paul, with the first issue appearing in June 1969. Initially the journals frequency was set to one volume at three issues per annum, and continued in this manner after Routledge was acquired by Taylor & Francis Group in 1997. After Taylor & Francis merged with Informa plc in 2004 and the journals publishing divisions were restructured, World Archaeology changed to a quarterly publication schedule while remaining under the Routledge Journals imprint. |
