has gloss | eng: Timber Lodge Steakhouse is a steakhouse chain primarily based in Minnesota. It was originally founded as Minnesota Steakhouse in 1992, in Burnsville, Minnesota. The founder of Minnesota Steakhouse, Doron Jensen, decided to change the name to make it more marketable in other areas of the country. After the founder split off due to conflicts with his business partner, the company grew from 14 Minnesota restaurants to 35. Restaurants ranged from New York to Texas under mainly the name Timber Lodge Steakhouse, with a couple exceptions (Paul Bunyans in New York). Bad locations plagued the company and it eventually dwindled back down to the original 14 Minnesota restaurants, including Fargo and Sioux Falls. |
