has gloss | eng: Thirumalaikoil is a shrine dedicated to Lord Thirumalai Kumaraswamy, Panpozhil near Tenkasi in Tirunelveli district, Tamil Nadu, India. It was built by Lady Saint Thiruvarutchelvar Sivakami Ammaiyar. Poets Arunagirinather and Achanputhur Subbaiah had written many poems on the name of the Lord. It is a hill shrine, 540 steps of pathway is laid to reach the temple. The hill is adjoint to Western Ghats and Kavira Hills geographically. It is 15 km away from the Famous Lord Kasivishwanathar temple in Tenkasi and Popular kurtallam Falls, Ezhanji Kumarakoil, and Ayikudi Balasubramanya Swami Temple. The temple is 650km far away from Chennai and 90km away from Thiruvananthapuram. The environment around the temple is full of green fields and coconut trees, and many films songs sequences were taken in this beautiful location. |
