The most important reasons are scientific research and the interest of humans to learn more about the outer space. For the last several centuries, humans had dreamt of reaching the outer space. But, it became possible only in the 20th century. On October 4, 1957, the former Soviet Union launched the Sputnik I which was the first satellite to be launched. Then on November 4 1957, Laika was launched into space. She was the first living creature to enter space.
