has gloss	eng: Rasher was a comic strip in the UK comic The Beano, featuring Dennis the Menaces pet pig Rasher. The strip also featured Rashers family, like his brother Hamlet, his sister Virginia Ham, Uncle Crackling and Little Piglet, who were all introduced in the first strip. It was drawn by David Sutherland and ran from 1984 until 1988. Rasher made his first appearance in The Beano in issue 1920, May 5, 1979 in the Dennis the Menace and Gnasher strip. As of issue 3480 (25 April 2009), it is being reprinted in full colour in The Beano. It has since stopped due to Dennis being revamped for his new TV series airing in 2009. In fact, Rasher has been dropped outright and replaced with a new pig called Harley, which belongs to Granny.
