has gloss	eng: Overcast is a metalcore band from Boston, Massachusetts, who some credit as being one of the pioneers in the metalcore scene. They were together from August 1991 until November 1998, when they disbanded after a less than successful US tour. The band chose to split up after original drummer Jay Fitzgerald quit the band. Members include Brian Fair, now lead vocalist for Shadows Fall; Mike D'Antonio, bassist and founding member of Killswitch Engage; and Pete Cortese, of Seemless; Scott McCooe on guitar; and Jay Fitzgerald on drums.
