Seine Länge beträgt 4,5 km und man braucht gewöhnlich sechs bis acht Stunden für die ganze Strecke. Bisher kamen auf ihm mehr als 90 Menschen ums Leben. Die häufigsten Gründe hierfür waren Ausrutscher und Stürze auf dem feuchten Granit. Deswegen ist seit kurzem auf manchen Teilstrecken die Begehung nur in einer Richtung möglich. |

Il est considéré comme le sentier le plus difficile de toutes les montagnes de la Pologne et donc destiné aux touristes expérimentés. Le point le plus élevé du parcours se situe à 2291 m. Les aides en route comprennent des escaliers, des chaînes et des échelles. Presque 90 personnes perdirent la vie pendant le passage de cette route. Elle est bien reliée avec d'autres routes touristiques, menant dans Zakopane et des chalets. |

Odcinek od Krzyżnego do Polany pod Wołoszynem jest od 1932 roku zamknięty i nie przewiduje się jego otwarcia. Orla Perć prowadzi właściwie granią, ale miejscami, z powodu ukształtowania terenu, oddala się od niej, omijając szczyty i turnie. Jest oznakowana kolorem czerwonym. Na szlaku znajdują się rozliczne ułatwienia (łańcuchy, klamry i żelazne drabinki), mimo to jednak szlak ten nie jest odpowiedni dla początkujących turystów górskich, wymaga pewnego obycia z górami, sposobem korzystania z łańcuchów, wreszcie umiejętności wyszukiwania właściwych chwytów i stopni . Szczególnie istotne jest to przy złej pogodzie. Liczne ekspozycje na szlaku są stosunkowo silne. |
