Níðhöggr zuigt hier ontzielde lichamen weg, in de buurt van Yggdrasils wortel, en er bevindt zich een bron, de eerdergenoemde Ruisende Ketel ofwel Hvergelmir, en nog steeds stromen de Elivágar uit deze bron.
