has gloss | eng: Napkin PC is a PC that was entered by Avery Holleman into the Next-Gen PC Design Competition and won 1st prize. The idea also won the "Chairman's Award, personally selected by Bill Gates. The concept is a PC on paper, called a "napkin", that comes out of a "base station", which holds a number of other napkins, along with a set of pens for the people using the napkin. At this time (2009) there is no plan to build the PC: it is based on existing technologies, such as electronic ink, paper and radio frequency technology. |
