has gloss	eng: The Mercedes I was built in 1952 in Hamburg, Germany. She was long and weighed 496 tons. In 1984 a storm caught the ship and left it on a beach. The hulk of the Mercedes I was purchased from Donjon Marine Company for $29,000 by the Broward County Environmental Quality Control Board, with the intention of sinking the ship to create an artificial reef off the coast of Ft. Lauderdale.
