has gloss	eng: The Maharashtra floods of 2005 refers to the flooding of many parts of the Indian state of Maharashtra including large areas of the metropolis Mumbai, a city located on the coast of the Arabian Sea, on the western coast of India, in which at least 1,000 people died. It occurred just one month after similar flooding in Gujarat. The term 26 July, now is, in context always used for the day when the city of Mumbai came to a standstill.

has gloss	pol: Powódź w stanie Maharashtra - powódź, która nawiedziła indyjski stan Maharashtra w lipcu 2005. Woda zalała m.in. ważny ośrodek miejski Indii - Bombaj. Powódź wywołały obfite opady atmosferyczne, niespotykane nawet jak na porę monsunową. W ciągu jednego dnia, 26 lipca, spadło 944 mm opadów. Stanowi to jeden z największych opadów dobowych zanotowanych w Indiach; więcej spadło tylko 6 maja 2004 w Aminidivi ma Lakszadiwach. Powódź spowodowała śmierć około 1000 osób.
