has gloss	eng: Jean Ferdinand Rozier (1777-1864) was born in Nantes, France to Francois Claude Rozier (born: November 20, 1739 in Orleans, France - died: September 06, 1806 in Nantes, France) and Renee Angelique Colas (born: July 17, 1745 - died: February 09, 1824). In 1802 he served in the French Navy. Jean Ferdinand immigrated from France to New York in 1806, eventually settling in the village of Ste. Genevieve in the Louisiana Territory (later to become the Missouri Territory). He married Constance Pelagie Roy, the daughter of Andre Roy and Constance Barbeauon, on August 19, 1813 in Ste. Genevieve, MO. She was born October 08, 1795 in Prairie du Rocher, IL, and died August 24, 1878 in Ste. Genevieve, MO.
