has glosseng: |align=right | Maharaja Jawahar Singh (reigned 1763-1768) was a ruling Maharaja of the Bharatpur state. He succeeded to the throne when his father Maharaja Suraj Mal died in 1763. He was extravagant, willful, ambitious and energetic. He could never get on well with his father Maharaja Suraj Mal, who always felt that he would be responsible for bringing about the end of the Jat Kingdom. That is why he wanted his younger son Nahar Singh to be his successor. This created a big problem for all his nobles. At the time of Raja Suraj Mal's death in 1763 Jawahar Singh was in Farrukhnagar.
