has glosseng: German Pugnali is a biologist and birder from Argentina, and one of the directors of . He lives in Buenos Aires, where he was born (1968). He joined the (Aves Argentinas / BirdLife International partner) in 1986. He acted there as a librarian and later became a board member. He worked as a birding guide for their field trips for more than 12 years, starting to lead foreign groups throughout Argentina at the age of 24. He obtained his MSc in Biology from in 1994, and took part of field studies on penguins, waterfowl, shorebirds and blackbirds, publishing several articles in scientific journals and birdwatching magazines. An expedition to Patagonia in 1998 resulted on the rediscovery of the Austral Rail (Rallus antarcticus) . Besides Argentina, he has travelled extensively throughout South America and is familiar with over 900 species of Argentina. He is also a bird sound recording enthusiast and enjoys sharing his passion for nature with others, organizing courses, lectures and bird forums to encourage people to discover the world of birds.
