It was recorded first by Robert Gordon during 1978, and he received some modest album-oriented rock radio broadcasting with it. It was then recorded and released by The Pointer Sisters later during 1978, and they gained a major success from it, scoring number two during early-February 1979 on the U.S. pop chart.
