has gloss	eng: Fantastic Realism (Réalisme fantastique) was a self-described movement introduced in 1960 in The Morning of the Magicians (Le Matin des magiciens), subtitled "Introduction to Fantastic Realism" by Jacques Bergier and Louis Pauwels. The two authors published the Planète magazine from 1961 to 1972. Fantastic Realism has also been used in newer written works, such as the Percy Jackson series.

Il se présente comme un courant de pensée et de recherche à vocation scientifique, ayant pour objet létude de domaines considérés comme exclus à tort par la science officielle : phénomènes paranormaux, alchimie, civilisations disparues, OVNI, etc. Ses adeptes défendent entre autres lidée que le cerveau humain disposerait de nombreux pouvoirs sous-exploités, et que lhumanité a peut-être établi des contacts avec des extra-terrestres, notamment par lintermédiaire d'anciennes civilisations disparues.
