There were eighteen episodes produced for the season. The first episode was "Stewie Loves Lois" and the season's final episode was "Meet the Quagmires". The series follows the Griffin family, a dysfunctional family consisting of father Peter, mother Lois, daughter Meg, son Chris, baby Stewie and Brian, the family pet, who reside in their hometown of Quahog. The showrunners for the fifth production season were Chris Sheridan and David Goodman, and series creator Seth MacFarlane.
