This group was created from the merger of several armed dissident groups inside Ethiopia: the Kefagn Patriotic Front, the Ethiopian Unity Front, the Coalition of Ethiopian Democratic Forces and the Benishangul Peoples Democratic Movement. The EPPF is led by Zewdalem Kebede.
