Information
has glosseng: This is a list of diplomatic missions of Palestine. On 15 November 1988, the Palestinian National Council of the Palestine Liberation Organization, sitting in Algiers, adopted the Palestinian Declaration of Independence, unilaterally proclaiming the State of Palestine within the former British Mandate of Palestine, while not explicitly declaring its boundaries or claimed territory. At the time, the State of Palestine was not a de facto or de jure entity. The State of Palestine retains an unclear international status, with some states recognizing it de jure while it has no clear de facto status. Owing to its contested international position, many world capitals host both an Embassy of Palestine and an Embassy of Israel. One-hundred and seven states recognize the State of Palestine, and 25 more grant some form of diplomatic status to a Palestinian delegation, falling short of full diplomatic recognition.
