has gloss | eng: Deer Park Town Center is an upscale lifestyle center in the Chicago suburb of Deer Park, Illinois, situated at the southwest corner of U.S. Highway 12 (Rand Road) and Long Grove Road, just north of Lake Cook Road. The shopping center consists of over 80 retailers and restaurants, spread across , making it the fifth-largest lifestyle center in Illinois (after Algonquin Commons, The Glen, The Promenade Bolingbrook, and Geneva Commons). The center was constructed in 2000 and expanded in 2004, and at the time of its construction, it was the first major lifestyle center in the Chicago area. Its construction generated further retail development of the Rand Road corridor and marked the first major commerce for the Deer Park and Kildeer communities, which were small bedroom communities without any kind of commerce prior to the center's construction. The center generates considerable traffic from throughout the northwest suburbs, primarily in the Barrington, Lake Zurich, Palatine, and Buffalo Grove communities, and from farther places as well. The center focuses on stores that sell upscale clothing, along with high-end furniture and home decor. |
