In the 1970s Mary Lou Williams began doing Catholic themed jazz, including a jazz mass. Later artists have mixed in rock, pop, or even hip hop to Catholic themed music. One of the most common types of Catholic-influenced music is Celtic music due to the history of early Ireland. |
