has gloss	eng: The Capaq Ñan trail system is a project designed cooperatively by the governments of Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia and Chile to rebuild and promote tourism on the Inca road system, which stretches some 23,000 km across the Andes. "Compaq ñan" translates roughly as "road of our ancestors," "nan" being the Quechua word for road, and "capaq" being the "original ancestor" of the Incan Empire. The project consists of two main roads, one roughly following the Andean Divide and one following the eastern flank of the Andes, with several smaller roads crossing between them that would lead through important archaeological sites. Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador and Peru are working in conjunction with UNESCO's World Heritage Centre to include the trail on the World Heritage List.
