has gloss | eng: Black Turtle Cove, or Caleta Tortuga Negra as it is called in Spanish, is a mangrove estuary on the northern shores of Santa Cruz. The national park has strict regulations to protect this pristine environment. This is one of the few areas you may visit in Galapagos by panga (local dinghy) but with its engines turned off. Traveling by paddle the boats gently glide in to observe the many inhabitants of the area. This is a peaceful area where you are likely to see rays, sea turtles, pelicans and other wildlife all living among the mangroves. |
