has gloss | eng: Barclay H. Warburton III took his name from the husband of John Wanamakers daughter Mary "Minnie" Wanamaker. Barclay Harding Warburton (I) and his wife inherited roughly one third of the Wanamakers fortune when John Wanamaker died. Their son Barclay H. Warburton Jr. married Rosamund Lancaster in 1919 in Elkton, Maryland and it is presumed that Barclay III followed soon thereafter. Barclay H. Warburton III was also officially a step son of William Kissam Vanderbilt II and a step nephew of Harold Stirling Vanderbilt due to Rosamund's later marriage to the former. |
